The Spring Color Study Collection
Color analytics and visualizations that emulate natural media.
Inspired by Emily Noyes Vanderpoel's book Color Problems, Georgia O'Keeffe, and the Color field paintings by Kenneth Noland, this collection is searching for beautiful color palettes.
Using custom applications I developed, I use them to analyze (in)famous paintings. The apps save the color data as part of a custom script for Corel Painter. It is interesting to note that I reverse-engineered Painter's undocumented scripting language. After creating the custom script, I run it within Painter to create these images.
